Three New Cities Under Construction
The announcement was made in the national capital on March, 2014 by the president of SONIP, Orlando Veloso, of a visit paid to 3 new cities undergoing construction within the capital of the country, “Zango oito mil (Zango Eight Thousand)”, “KK cinco mil (KK 5 Thousand)” and “CIF cinco mil (CIF 5 Thousand)”, totalling 18,000 houses.
The new Zango is being engineered on an area of 416 hectares. It includes eight thousand economic units of combined models, of that 2,780 single-family dwellings (including twin houses) and 5,220 buildings.
Different from this public housing, the “KK 5 thousand” occupies a neighborhood of 75 hectares and is characterised as a public housing composed of 188 buildings, in a total of 5 thousand residences, distributed by 2 blocks.
On the opposite hand, the “Cif – 5 thousand”, additionally settled close to the spatial relation of Kilamba, includes the development of 5 thousand residences, and, almost like “Zango Eight thousand” began to be erected in June 2012.
The 3 housing comes embodied with the development of primary and secondary schools, kindergartens, water treatment plant, structure center, electricity networks, further as areas reserved for social services and / or public establishments and another on the market for personal investment.
The initial scope contains 710 buildings, 24 crèches, 9 primary faculties, eight secondary faculties and fifty kilometers of roads. The project was designed to be developed in 3 phases, with a complete of eighty two thousand residences, in a neighborhood of 54 sq. kilometers.
The KK are the primary to be completed fully, to profit a part of the citizens who have already paid the state and are waiting for the housing, according to the president of the chief Commission of SONIP, Orlando Veloso.
